O'Neil Wedding
May 29, 2005
On the first day of their sixth year together, at noon on May 29, 2005, Daniel James O'Neil and Valerie Jean Anthony tied the knot.

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding!!!  We chose to have our wedding in the white mountains near our time share, where we planned to honeymoon.  We picked up some brochures from the Littleton, NH chamber of commerce booth, trying to find an inn where we could hold the ceremony.  We both picked the same brochure and after one look at the place in October, we knew this was the one!  The place was the Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill, NH.  The wedding arbor was just what we were looking for in an outdoor wedding.  The classic New England rock walls and the mountainous back drop were just incredible.

We started planning a memorable event.  Aided by our parents and Nancy Henderson, the Sunset Hill House innkeeper, we were able to plan a beautiful ceremony and an elegant reception.  The ceremony we chose was not the traditional wording.  I found the original text on-line, unfortunately I don't remember where, and then we tweaked it here and there to fit us.  Read the ceremony by clicking here.  Our friend Ed Burke is a JP and he agreed to officiate our wedding.  Karen Faren from Gallery Portraits provided the photography.  Shannon's mother-in-law Sandy Sullivan made our cakes and my mother, Angie Robillard, made the dresses for the female side of the wedding party.

On my side of the wedding party we had my best friends Shannon Sullivan and Eileen King as matrons of honor.  We had a junior bridesmaid, my niece Alex and we had my neice Lissie as the flower girl.  On Dan's side of the wedding party we had his best friends Jerry Hardy and Steve Descoteaux.  His nephew Timmy was our junior groomsman and his nephew Colin was our ring bearer.

For our reception we chose to not have any dancing, we are not dancers!  The Sunset Hill House chef prepared wonderful food for us and those cakes from Sandy were amazing!

Our guests had nothing but good things to say about our wedding and we couldn't have been happier!
